Recital News - November 19, 2022
It’s time to share important details about our Spring 2023 Recital - Lights, Camera, DANCE as follows:
- LOCATION: Our recitals will be held at the Bordentown Performing Arts Center at Bordentown High School located at 318 Ward Avenue, Bordentown, NJ 08505.
- DATES: We will have 7 recital performances this season on May 20, 2023, and May 21, 2023. Each class is assigned to one of the 7 performances. Dancers in our Senior division and Elite division are assigned to 2 performances. Your dancer’s recital assignments can be found here: Lights, Camera, DANCE Recital Assignments Please be sure to print this document and mark your calendar with the details of your dancer’s performance date and time. Don’t forget to tell your family and friends to save the date too!
- ON STAGE TECHNICAL REHEARSAL: All dancers must participate in our technical rehearsal on Saturday, May 13, at the Bordentown Performing Arts Center at Bordentown High School. Each class will be assigned a specific time for our technical rehearsal. Those details will be forwarded to you in December. Please be sure to mark this important date on your calendar as well.
- TICKET DAY – Recital tickets will be sold online through Dance Recital Ticketing again this season. Tickets will go on sale on Sunday, April 23, 2023. This is another important date to note in your calendar. Additional details regarding ticket day will be forwarded to you throughout the season.
A few additional notes:
- If you are unsure of the name of your dancer’s class, simply login to your parent portal to find your dancer’s class schedule, AFD Parent Portal
- If your dancer is in our next session of Dance with Me, participating in the recital is optional. Additional details about dancers in Dance with Me participating in a recital performance will be shared during our next session.
- To our families with dancers in multiple performances: Navigating our recital assignments and dance families with multiple dancers is definitely a difficult task. The only way we could ever accommodate every family in one performance is to have a 7+ hour recital, which would certainly be hard for everyone to enjoy. Every year, we do our best to help offset some of the additional costs with some tuition credits in April. Additional details will be shared with you in the Spring.
